ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Jessie Van Brunt was born in Brooklyn, NY on July 28, 1864. Van Brunt was a pupil of John LaFarge. Active in California in the early 1930s, she was the illustrator-author of a book entitled California Missions – Painted and Described published in 1932. By 1935 she had returned to Brooklyn. A spinster, she died there on Feb. 28, 1947. Stained glass in: The Little Church Around the Corner (NYC); Mission Inn (Riverside); Pullen House (Skagway, AK); St Martin's Church (Atlin, B.C.); St Andrews Church (Labrador); English Reform Church (Amsterdam).
